Viking Line Shareholder Card

The conditions for activating a shareholder card for our shareholders are that the shareholder owns at least 1,000 shares in Viking Line Abp and that the shares are registered in the shareholder's own name (owner-registered shareholder) in the shareholder register maintained by Euroclear Finland Oy. The activation of shareholder cards initiated by Viking Line Abp occurs once a year.

Shareholder Card 2026

In January 2026, digital shareholder cards for 2026 are activated for all shareholders who meet the above requirements. The digital shareholders card is connected to the shareholder’s Viking Line Club membership number.

The digital shareholder card requires the shareholder to have registered a Viking Line Club membership number in their country.

The shareholder card is personal and entitles the holder to free regular trips for 1 person (passenger ticket) including a standard-sized personal car* on all Viking Line ships. The travel offer is only valid with a pre-booking made no later than 12 hours before departure. The shareholder card is personal and only valid for the cardholder. The card does not include free cabins or meals.

*) Vehicle categories included in the shareholder card are personal car up to max length 7 m and height 2.40 m (on Viking XPRS max height 2.05 m), motorcycle, bicycle, electric bicycle/electric moped/segway.

Legal entities as shareholders

Shares purchased in the name of a company (or organization) mean that the company must name the physical person to whom the shareholder card will be issued. Cards are not issued in the company's name. This is to be communicated to Viking Line at inv.info@vikingline.com. The recipient of the digital shareholder card is required to have registered a membership number in the Viking Line Club.

  • Registration of holdings

Euroclear Finland Oy maintains the official shareholder register for companies connected to the book-entry system. Viking Line Abp is one such company.

The most common way to register your holdings is to have a bank act as your account operator. The bank then handles, among other things, address and name changes Euroclear Finland Oy Only banks can report changes in our shareholder list to Euroclear Finland Oy. Thus, if you wish to buy or sell book-entry securities, or make a name or address change, you should contact your bank. Viking Line Abp does not handle these matters.

  • When do new shareholders receive a digital shareholder card?

Once a year, we automatically activate shareholder cards for those shareholders who meet the above requirements.

Please note that any offers directed at shareholders cannot be used immediately after you have paid for the book-entry securities in Viking Line Abp. To take advantage of shareholder offers, you must wait until your book-entry securities have been registered with Euroclear Finland Oy you have notified Viking Line (inv.info@vikingline.com) of this, and you have received your digital shareholder card.

  • Shares in foreign custody or equivalent

If your holdings in Viking Line Abp exceed 1,000 shares and they are registered with a custodian institute (bank) outside Finland, you need to contact Viking Line with a certificate from your custodian institute (bank) confirming your holdings.

In such a case, contact inv.info@vikingline.com with your details, the certificate of your holdings, as well as your Viking Line Club membership number. Once Viking Line has received your information, we can activate your digital shareholder card.

  • Nominee-registered shareholders do not automatically receive a shareholder card

If you have not received a shareholder card, the reason could be that your account operator (your bank) has chosen to register your book-entry securities (shares) in Viking Line Abp under a nominee. A nominee-registered holding means that we cannot obtain information on who owns the nominee-registered book-entry securities (shares). Therefore, nominee-registered shareholders do not automatically receive a shareholder card.

A shareholding can either be registered in the owner's own name (directly registered) or nominee-registered, meaning the nominee (the account operator/bank) is registered in the owner's place in the shareholder register with Euroclear Finland Oy.

For directly registered holdings, your account operator (your bank) registers your book-entry securities (the shares) in your own name with Euroclear Finland Oy, while nominee-registered holdings are registered in the nominee's (the account operator's/bank's) name on a different type of account called a nominee account. The nominee, a bank or other account operator, consolidates the shareholders' holdings on the nominee account.

If your holding in Viking Line Abp is nominee-registered and you wish to receive a shareholder card, you must either request that your account operator (the bank) registers (directly registers) your holding in Viking Line Abp in your own name with Euroclear Finland Oy or send a reliable statement from your bank about your holding of book-entry securities in Viking Line Abp to us via email at inv.info@vikingline.com.

Please note that nominee-registered shareholders have the right to withdraw funds, convert or exchange book-entry securities, and participate in the issuance of shares and other book-entry securities, while the shareholder card is an offer to shareholders activated for those who have at least 1,000 book-entry securities registered in their own name in the shareholder register with the Finnish Securities Centre or have otherwise verified their holdings to the company.

Please contact your bank if you have questions about how your holdings in Viking Line Abp are registered.

  • Have you not received a digital shareholder card?

If you have not received a digital shareholder card despite holding at least 1,000 book-entry securities in Viking Line Abp, it may be due to having an incorrect address in the shareholder register maintained by Euroclear Finland Oy or that your bank has registered your holdings in Viking Line Abp under a nominee account. Nominee registered shareholders do not receive a shareholder card.

See below for more information on how to change your address and what a nominee registered holding means for you.

The digital shareholder card also requires that you, as a shareholder, have registered a membership number in the Viking Line Club.

  • Selling shares can result in the deactivation of the shareholder card

The shareholder card is valid for one calendar year. If you sell your shares and your holding falls below 1,000 book-entry securities in Viking Line Abp, Viking Line has the right to deactivate your shareholder card without warning. Viking Line may perform checks during the calendar year.

  • How do I change my address and name in the shareholder register?

If you have not received a digital shareholder card, one of the reasons could be that you have an incorrect address or name in the shareholder register with Euroclear Finland Oy.

It is important that your address and name details are correct in the shareholder register with Euroclear Finland Oy.

Viking Line Abp cannot change details in the shareholder register on behalf of our shareholders.

Please note that you must notify your account operator (usually a bank) of any changes to your shareholding details for your shareholder card and other information to be activated. Your account operator will notify Euroclear Finland Oy of your changed details. (Note: This does not apply to nominee-registered shareholders, see separate section regarding this)
