The designated route for heavy vehicles travelling to and from Katajanokka Harbour is via Lahti Motorway (Route 4), Kustaa Vaasan tie, Varastokatu, Sörnäisten Rantatie and Pohjoisranta to Katajanokka. Other main roads can be accessed via Ring Road I or Ring Road III.

NOTE! The port gate in the harbor area is closed every night from 22.00 to 6.00. During this time, entry through the gate is only possible if a gate permit has been applied for in advance. The following information is required for the permit: company, date, and the registration numbers of the tractor unit and trailer. These should be sent to cargo.check-in.hel@vikingline.com.
Viking Line freight check-in and forwarding office is located on the port area. Way in is through gate B. We offer service for our customers in export and import matters. It is also possible to make reservations for departures for the same day and next morning after opening hours of our freight booking.
Please note the regulations for advance inquiry and notification of dangerous goods given by the Port of Helsinki. Our freight booking will provide you with further information. Freight units carrying dangerous goods must leave the harbour area within two hours after arrival with the vessel. The route is the same as for other freight traffic.
