Code of Conduct

Viking Line strives to act responsibly in the countries and contexts where the group operates. This means, among other things, that Viking Line should always be associated with respect for human rights, equal rights, good working conditions, social consideration, and sustainable environmental work. Therefore, all employees within Viking Line are expected to comply with these rules. The vision is that Viking Line should be valued for its operations by our customers, employees, shareholders, and stakeholders.

If an employee or customer is suspected of breaking the law, employees should immediately report this to their immediate supervisor. Taking or giving bribes is strictly prohibited in all business transactions with both private and public law partners.

Viking Group employees should always avoid actions or behaviours that could jeopardise, damage, or threaten the Viking Line brand. In our operations, we consistently demonstrate kindness, respect, and consideration towards our customers in all situations. Through our good hospitality, we provide experiences that create smiles and memories. The focus is on the following selective quality areas: friendly service, cleanliness and tidiness, good food, safety and order, entertainment, and attractive shopping.

Viking Line's starting point is the equal value of all people, and no one working within the group may be discriminated against based on age, gender, ethnic affiliation, religion, sexual orientation, disability, political opinion, or marital status.

Harassment is behaviour that makes another person feel insulted, threatened, violated, or mistreated. What is offensive is determined by the person affected. Both harassment and offensive behaviour are illegal.

Communication about Viking Line should be conducted at a high professional level. Individual employees may not make statements about Viking Line's business to the media, investors, financial or industry analysts, or on social media without management approval.

Many of Viking Line's employees are actively engaged on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, discussion forums, blogs, and other social media platforms. As a Viking Line employee, you naturally have the right to express your opinion, but the boundaries between public, private, personal, and professional can be unclear. You should therefore be aware that what you write privately can also affect the company. You should therefore use a good tone, respect, and good judgment when using social media.

Since you are part of the safety organisation, there is zero tolerance regarding alcohol, drugs, and other intoxicants. When you sign your employment contract, you also sign a contract certifying that you have read Viking Line's alcohol and drug policy.
